The farm's mission is to provide locally grown, in-season flowers and herbs without utilizing pesticides, herbicides or other harmful chemicals, to utilize sustainable farming practices and promote environmental stewardship. I grow specialty flowers and herbs for local weddings, my flower CSA, farmers' markets, florists and other special events. I also offer fresh flower bouquets and buckets that can be ordered online (locally, during growing season) and flowers are also available locally through my CSA Subscriptions. Dried botanicals and pressed plants are also available in my online shop.
Since this is a working farm and harvesting is done daily, hours are by appointment only. Garden tours are not available at this time. Fresh flowers, fresh herbs and CSA subscriptions are available to local residents. Fresh flowers are available during the growing season which is May through October, weather permitting. If the weather is decent in the spring and late fall, flowers may be available in late April and November. Please call for availability. Dried flowers are available year round.
Serving the Eastern Iowa Corridor including North Liberty, Iowa City, Coralville, Solon, Tiffin, West Branch and surrounding areas (additional delivery charge to Cedar Rapids).
Community Supported Agriculture or CSA is a way for consumers to buy fresh, local, seasonal flowers and herbs directly from me, the farmer. In the winter/early spring I offer a certain number of CSA flower shares to members of my local community who, in return, receive flower bouquets weekly or bi-weekly from June to September.
2018 CSA Flower Shares are sold out. A huge thank you to all of my CSA members - you helped me buy the seeds and supplies I needed to start the growing season.
You can choose from three wedding flower options - Full service, A La Carte and DIY Flowers (do-it-yourself). Let me help you choose and design local, in-season fresh and/or dried flowers, herbs and foliage for your special day or maybe you only need a simple bridal bouquet and boutonniere - I can do that too! You can also choose a money-saving DIY option which may include flower buckets, fresh and/or dried bulk flower bunches, flower confetti (for table decor, to toss instead of rice or to place inside wedding invitations) and pressed flowers and herbs.
I am fully booked for 2018 weddings and am booking wedding flower orders for 2019. The earlier you book the better, so I can determine planting days/times and to save the date.
I am currently on the waiting list for the Iowa City Farmers' Market held every Saturday during market season from 7:30 - Noon. Many of my Saturdays are booked for weddings or other events but I try to attend the market whenever I can.
Farmers Market Schedule
I'll be attending the Iowa City Farmers' Market on Saturday, July 21, 2018 from 7:30 am to 12:00 pm. I'll have plenty of wrapped market bouquets in all sizes, just grab and go! I'll also have gorgeous arrangements and dried flower bouquets. Hope to see you there!
I love farming. I love flowers - their structure, color and design. Chances are, if you happen to see me, I'm probably talking about flowers or farming. One of my favorite parts of my job is getting to share my flowers with others and working with my clients to find the perfect design for their special event. Even though my urban farm is small, it is mighty! I grow on less than 1/4 acre of land so I try to utilize as much space as I can. My gardens contain over 150 types of flowers, herbs and foliage with blooms corresponding to their seasons.
